Q:

Who should use the SBIR Tutorial?

A:

Anyone who wants to learn about participating in the DoD SBIR and STTR programs should try the SBIR Tutorial. We built this user-friendly tutorial to be useful to both the first-time SBIR participant, as well as, to those with more experience. First-timers may want to go through the entire tutorial in one session, whereas the more experienced SBIR participant may want to select a certain module or topic for a quick refresher from the menu. The choice is yours.

Q:

Can this tutorial help me learn to how to participate in DoD SBIR?

A:

Yes. The SBIR Tutorial includes a brief introduction to the Department of Defense SBIR and STTR programs and show you how to prepare and submit a proposal.

Q:

How much time do I need to do the SBIR Tutorial?

A:

That is up to you. The SBIR Tutorial is designed so that you can go through the entire training program in one session or go through selected modules individually. If you do the entire program in one session, it will take 30 minutes. If you do a selected module it may take as little as 5 minutes of your time.

Q:

How do I navigate through the modules of the SBIR Tutorial?

A:

If you are not doing the entire tutorial in one session, use the navigation buttons in the upper right hand of the tutorial screen to pause pause button, or skip to the previous Previous Button or next Next Button section within a module. To skip to a specific module, use the menu to quickly go to SBIR Overview, Getting Started, Program Solicitation, Solicitation Topics, Topic Search Engine, Technical Questions, Submission Site Registration, Proposal Preparation, Cover Sheet, Cost Proposal, Technical Proposal, Company Commercialization Report, Verification Proposal, and SBIR Updates modules.
